Insomniac Reveals Additional EDC Las Vegas Attractions!

Insomniac recently unveiled additional attractions for the 2015 Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas on Friday, June 19th through Sunday, June 21st at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

All eight of the stages will have brand new stage designs and production. Insomniac is introducing the Crystal Village this year where the mayor of the owl community will appear between headliners and release crystals to the audience that represent the power of the earth, fire, water, and air. Insomniac is also debuting The Funk House, which is a colorful, 360 degree stage that will feature funk, disco, soul, and classic hip-hop.

Carnival Square will be revealed at EDC Las Vegas this year. Carnival Square is located centrally in the festival grounds and is the ideal meet-up spot. The one-stop shop features seating, food and beverage vendors, merchandise booths, a general store, meet-and-greets with artists, lineup information, a video confessional booth, photo opp areas, and a lost and found.

As we at EDM Life have reported, the Marquee SkyDeck is available for reservation. The open-air nightclub cabanas come with high-end decorating and bars. Private tables with table service are being offered this year at the “Front of House” in the middle of the action. If you do reserve your own private cabana, you will have the opportunity to customize your cabana space with a theme. Insomniac is offering a number of themes including Safari, Austin Powers, Man Cave, Rock n’ Roll, and Midsummer Night. Attendees just need to let Insomniac’s creative department know what kind of theme they’d like for their EDC cabana experience. Email skydeck@insomniac.com for reservations and details.

Artist Gerard Minakawa will create Palace Blue, which is a colonnade of bamboo columns with a vaulted roof and a central structure inspired by the Hagia Sophia cathedral in Istanbul. This impressive structure will require 20 tons of materials that include fabric, wood, steel, and 500 bamboo poles.

EDC Las Vegas will have new food trucks this year, so there are options for all appetites. The new food trucks are the following:

  • Cousins Maine Lobster
  • 50 Shades of Green (organic food items)
  • Señor Blues (Tex-Mex)
  • Baby’s Badass Burgers (gourmet burgers)
  • Oming’s Kitchen (Vietnamese)
  • Bowl of Heaven (yogurt parfait)
  • Urban Pie (gourmet wood oven burning pizza)

The Terrace at kineticFIELD is an upscale restaurant with a new menu and was formerly known as the “Dining Deck”. The menu at The Terrace at kineticFIELD has been designed by Chef Keven Alan Lee, Executive Chef and CEO of My World on a Plate. The 3-course seated dinner is $140 per person and the 3-day VIP café meal is $88. Go here for tickets and more information.

More Chill Spots to hang out will be added throughout the festival grounds at EDC Las Vegas this year. These environments will include benches below LED trees where fans can take a break from dancing.

Insomniac is introducing new merchandise designs where they will be available not only at additional merchandise booths on the festival grounds, but also along the Las Vegas Strip at participating hotels like Wynn and Encore during EDC Week.

Lastly but definitely not least, Insomniac will have a new VIP Viewing Deck at the cosmicMEADOW stage where headliners can take in the sights and sounds of the festival!
