San Francisco passes law to protect nightclubs from noise complaints

With continued redevelopment of commercial real estate into residential uses in San Francisco, residents have been complaining about the noise from long-standing nightclubs and bars.

A measure passed this week prevents residents from suing venues over noise as long as the venue is abiding by the terms of their entertainment permit. Also residents moving into units in close proximity to said venues will have to sign paperwork stating they are aware of the existence of said venues.

So good news for clubbers in SF!
