Ultra Music Festival 2015 Wrap-Up & UMF 2016 Dates Announced!

The 17th annual Ultra Music Festival ended on a high note last month. Some of the world’s biggest names in music like Diddy, Usher, Ariana Grande, and Justin Bieber came together for cross-genre collaborations to support various performers over the weekend. UMF 2015 represented all genres of music over the three day event, and the festival was a massive success even with the introduction of the new 18+ age limit for attendees.

UMF 2015 launched a 360 degree stage called ‘Resistance’ that hosted tech-house sets from Get Real (Green Velvet and Claude von Stroke collaboration), Maceo Plex, Tale of Us, Dixon, Jamie Jones, and Art Department. Carl Cox hosted his 11th consecutive year of ‘Carl Cox and Friends’ show inside the Megastructure. The Godfather of Dance was joined on Friday and Saturday by Loco Dice, John Digweed, Marco Carola, and Seth Troxler. The LIVE Stage featured Bassnectar, Krewella, Porter Robinson, Die Antwoord, and Röyksopp. Trance closed out the festival on Sunday with Eric Prydz, Paul Van Dyk, and Markus Schulz on Armin van Buuren’s ‘Together In A State of Trance’ stage.

Organizers of the event have already announced the dates for Ultra Music Festival 2016. Easter will be falling on the usual March dates, so the festival is being pushed up a week to accommodate on March 18th, 19th, and 20th, 2016.
