It wouldn’t be summer without our annual trip to the wonderful island of Ibiza, and this year we’ll be joined by a line-up including Calvin Harris, Deadmau5, Magnetic Man, Skream & Benga, Example, Carl Cox and many more!
It all goes down on Friday 5th August 2011, when Radio 1 will be bringing you 12 hours of non-stop dance music from Playa d’en Bossa in Ibiza. We kick off with a huge FREE Radio 1 Party at the beautiful Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, before heading to Space to join the all-night ‘Space presents Come Together’ party.

Join us at 1530 (local time) for Rob Da Bank’s Wig Party with SBTRKT, Professor Green, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Hip Hop Karaoke and DJ Alfredo.
The party continues with Annie Mac and Pete Tong from 2000 with Annie Mac and Pete Tong joined by Example, 2 Bears, Skream ft Sam Frank, Little Dragon, Calvin Harris, Erick Morillo & Shawnee Taylor, Nic Fanciulli, James Zabiela, Azari & III and Carl Cox (Pete Tong Vs Carl Cox DJ set)!
WRISTBAND UPDATE
Wristbands for entrance to this free Radio 1 Party at the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel will be available in advance in Ibiza only from Wednesday 3rd August.
Some of you have got in touch with us as you won’t be arriving in Ibiza until Thursday or Friday. We will be holding back some wristbands to ensure they are available on those days.
The outlets for the free wristbands are listed below and will be given away on a first come first served basis and only one wristband per person. You must be 18 years old and over and may be asked for ID.
Wednesday 3 August
* 1000 wristbands available from Café Mambo, San Antonio from 11am
* 500 wristbands available from Sands Beach Restaurant, Playa D’en Bossa from 10am
* 1000 wristbands available from Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel for hotel residents only from 10am
Thursday 4 August
* 1000 wristbands available from Ibiza Rocks Bar, San Antonio from 11am
* 500 wristbands available from Base Bar, Ibiza Old Town from 8pm
Friday 5th August
* 1000 wristbands available from Café Mambo, San Antonio from 11am
* 500 wristbands available from Sands Beach Restaurant, Playa D’en Bossa from 10am
Transport: a free bus service will be operating between San Antonio and Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel in Playa d’en Bossa on Friday 5th August from 1300. Access to this service will be for those with wristbands only.
Doors for the Radio 1 free party will open at 1530 local time. Please watch this space for more information in the next couple of weeks.
