At this years Grammy Awards, Beyoncé won the award for best dance/electronic music album “Break My Soul” (and in the process set the record for most Grammy wins).
Bey’s win is somewhat controversial due to the album having a bit more of a pop feel to it. The Drake album arguably is a better example of a major artist putting out a dance album.
Beyoncé’s win was in a category along with Bonobo (Fragments), Diplo (Diplo), Odesza (The Last Goodbye), and Rüfüs Du Sol (Surrender).
Also winning an award was Purple Disco Machine for Best Remixed Recording for his take on Lizzo’s “About Damn Time’.
