As EDM Life reported in September, Holy Ship! 2018 set sail from Port Canaveral, Florida to Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas this past weekend. Two dozen people however never boarded the Norwegian Epic cruise ship on Saturday.
Twenty-four people were arrested for drug possession charges that included cocaine, MDMA (ecstasy), marijuana, and possession without a prescription. Two of the people arrested are charged with trafficking narcotics with intent to sell.
The most notable of the arrests was artist DJ Gina Turner who was booked to play both the 4-day and 3-day Holy Ship! cruises. Turner is charged with one felony count of cocaine possession and two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription. She was arraigned and her bond was set at $15,000 cash ($5,000 for each charge).
