Philippe Cerboneschi (aka Zdar), Half of French Duo Cassius has died at 50

In a tragic accident tonight, Philippe Cerboneschi (aka Zdar), Half of French Duo Cassius has died at 50 after falling through a glass window from a high floor in a Paris building. No other details were available at press time.

Cassius was known for its part of the French Filter Disco scene and their debut album 1999 showcased this style.

Zdar during his career worked with Beastie Boys, Phenix, The Rapture, Cat Power, Chrome, Tiga, M and Franz Ferdinand.

Even more tragically, Cassius is set to release a new album later this week.
