Upsetting many of its fans in the dance music world, Ultra Music Festival has stated that those who bought tickets to the March event will not get refunds. The event is ‘postponed’ to Marh 20-22, 2020. Â
The event promoters stated that ticket buyers would receive a ticket of their choice to the 2021 or 2022 event, and ‘benefits’ such as a 50% discount on merchandise ($250 or less), a free ticket to an Ultra Worldwide event and exclusive access to purchasing other Ultra Worldwide events.
Fans have expressed their displeasure online with the festival not providing refunds to those that have requested them.
The SXSW festival in Austin, Texas similarly will not offer refunds rather allow a ticket holder to use their ticket for the 2021, 2022 or 2023 events.
Beyond Wonderland which was scheduled for this month as well and has been delayed to June 19-21 has stated that they will provide refunds to those who cannot attend the new date and request one. Â
