Ultra Music Festival Kicks Off Today in Miami — Here’s Everything You Need to Know

Ultra Music Festival officially opens its gates today, Friday, March 27, at Bayfront Park in Downtown Miami for its 26th edition, running through Sunday, March 29. And this year, the festival is delivering one of its most unforgettable weekends yet.

Swedish House Mafia Make a Triumphant Return — With a Full Saturday Takeover

The biggest announcement of the weekend dropped just days ago: Swedish House Mafia will return to Ultra on Saturday, March 28 for an exclusive curated night on the Main Stage. The legendary trio — Axwell, Steve Angello, and Sebastian Ingrosso — will headline a one-night-only experience framed as a festival within a festival, paying homage to the culture and musical identity that has defined the group over two decades.

The evening opens with a rare back-to-back set from Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, followed by a handpicked lineup of friends spanning house, techno, and beyond: Afrojack, Boys Noize, Armand Van Helden, Kelly Lee Owens, and rising star MPH. The night then culminates with Axwell joining his longtime partners on stage for the full Swedish House Mafia closing set. This marks the trio’s first time sharing the Ultra Main Stage since their iconic 2023 closing performance — and speculation is already swirling about possible new music on the horizon. In addition on social media today the trio shared that Eric Prydz will be joining as well making a long overdue reunion!

Can’t make it to Miami? Ultra will once again stream the experience to millions of fans worldwide via #ULTRALIVE, covering five stages across the weekend — including the Main Stage, Worldwide Stage, Live Stage, RESISTANCE Megastructure, and RESISTANCE The Cove.

Food, Art, and the Full Festival Experience

Beyond the music, Ultra 2026 is delivering on all fronts. The food lineup spans everything from Spicy Pie’s pizza and The Lobsta Guy’s Maine-style lobster rolls to House of Kebab’s Mediterranean flavors. VVIP guests can indulge in exclusive offerings from Casadonna, KOMODO, and Papi Steak.

On the art side, the festival has assembled artists from six countries, including hyperrealist spray paint icon Jeks One, 3D storyteller Caratoes, Brazilian geometric illustrator Fernando Chamarelli, and sculptural visionary Daniel Popper, who returns with his large-scale Sun Goddess installation. Venezuelan multihyphenate artist Golden will paint live near the merch tent, merging traditional painting with video projection — and he also designed a bespoke baseball jersey as part of Ultra’s exclusive 82-piece 2026 apparel collection. Rounding out the art programming, Amsterdam painters Mr. June and Chaz of The London Police will face off against Spanish painters Kram and Slomo in a side-by-side Art Battle.

Sustainability at the Forefront

Ultra’s award-winning sustainability program, Mission: Home, returns for its sixth year with 65 new initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact and supporting the local community. A landmark highlight this year: a partnership with REVERB, Showpower, and CES Power to power the RESISTANCE Cove stage entirely on zero-emission battery energy — a first for any major U.S. electronic music festival. Since launching in 2019, Mission: Home has educated over 8.2 million people, diverted nearly 400,000 pounds of waste from landfills, and donated over 84,000 pounds of food and supplies to local organizations.
