Coachella 2017 lineup drops… More hip hop, less eclectic bands and djs on the bill

Generally the Coachella lineups sport very intriguing lineups with unexpected headliners and groups you have not seen in years. This years’ lineup appears to be about as commercial as one can get with headliners Beyonce, Kendrick Lamar and Radiohead. Hip hop has a large presence this year with the aforementioned Kendrick Lamar (granted a great rapper), DJ Khaled, Gucci Mane and Travis Scott. All great performers but nothing earth shaking there. Other talent includes Dillon Francis, Martin Garrix, Steve Angello, Porter Robinson & Madeon, Marshmello and DJ Snake for the EDM fans, Sasha, Dixon, Loco Dice, Richie Hawtin and Solomun for the underground. Now Coachella has the best production of any event/festival in the world and no question its always a blast to attend, but it appears this year the talent bookers took the easy way out. Thoughts?
