Above & Beyond Release Historic ABGT700 Deep Set, Recorded Live Before 10,000 Fans at The Gorge

Deep Sets have long been a tradition at Above & Beyond’s milestone Group Therapy celebrations, giving Jono, Tony, and Paavo room to explore the more progressive, downtempo side of their sound. This time, the tradition took on a new shape: for the first time ever, the Deep Set was opened up to the public, with more than 10,000 fans gathering at The Gorge Amphitheatre to witness it live. That recording is now out as the Group Therapy 700 Deep Set, a 17-track mix spanning Anjunabeats, Anjunadeep, and Anjunachill.

The set opens with the world debut of “Eclipse,” a brand new ambient piece that echoes the atmosphere of their Flow State album, before sliding into a run of fresh remixes that revisit familiar corners of the catalog through a deeper lens: Yuvèe’s rework of “Tri-State,” Volen Sentir’s take on “Good For Me,” Jody Wisternoff’s version of “We’re All We Need,” PROFF’s remix of “Prelude,” and Braxton’s reinterpretation of “Bigger Than All Of Us.”

Beyond the group’s own catalog, the mix pulls in selections from Jamie Stevens & Fixation, Volen Sentir, PROFF (teaming up with Above & Beyond’s own Tony McGuinness), Ezequiel Arias & FJL, Bandēs, ANUQRAM & Julian Nates, kiskadee, and Jody Wisternoff & James Grant. It closes with Justin Blau & XIRA’s “Tokyo (Above & Beyond’s Broken Mix),” a breakbeat-driven reworking of the Anjunabeats classic pulled from the upcoming Anjuna:Chilled compilation.

The release caps a genuinely eventful ABGT700 weekend at The Gorge, which brought nearly 20,000 members of the Anjunafamily together for three days spanning the Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep worlds. Friday’s opening night, featuring Nourey, Amy Wiles, and Grum B2B J Ribbon, set up Saturday’s main ABGT700 celebration and Sunday’s Anjunadeep Open Air. Saturday took an unexpected turn when high winds forced organizers to pause the show for roughly three hours — once conditions cleared, Above & Beyond returned to the stage in the rain to finish their main set, now also available to stream in full. The weekend marked the trio’s first Group Therapy milestone celebration at The Gorge since ABGT250 back in 2017, continuing a relationship between the band, the venue, and their fanbase that’s grown over nearly a decade.
