The aftermath of three girls found unconscious in the dressing room of the EDM brothers, DVBBS, at the Baloton Sound festival in Sziget, Hungary continues to unfold since EDM Life reported on this story last month. Investigators suspect sexual assault to have occurred on the night of the festival, but believe it to have involved a perpetrator that is not known. One of the girls involved is known to be the 18-year-old daughter of Hungarian television personality Bényi Ildikó.
Word has surfaced that the lawyers for the girls are asking for damages of 100,000 Hungarian forint, which is roughly equivalent to $360,000 USD. It is believed that DVBBS are expected to reach a settlement with the girls outside of court, and the promoter’s insurance is expected to cover the remainder of the cost of damages. The media backlash from the night of the Baloton Sound festival has affected the image of DVBBS, such as their upcoming performance at Sziget Festival has been cancelled as a result. If negotiations between Balaton Sound’s organizers, DVBBS, and the victims end up occurring outside of court, then we may never know the details of what really happened on that night last month.
