Biographical Info
Max Kobosil, known professionally as Kobosil, is a German techno DJ and producer from Berlin. Born in 1991, Kobosil grew up in the Neukölln district of Berlin, immersed in the city’s vibrant electronic music scene from a young age.
Kobosil began DJing and producing music in his teenage years. He quickly gained recognition for his dark, industrial-tinged techno sound that draws inspiration from Berlin’s raw underground culture. His style is characterized by hard-hitting rhythms, distorted textures, and a relentless energy that captivates dance floors.
In 2013, Kobosil released his first EP on Ostgut Ton, the in-house label of the renowned Berghain nightclub. This marked the beginning of a close association with Berghain, where he became a resident DJ in 2015. His sets at the club have become legendary, often spanning marathon 8-hour sessions that showcase his deep musical knowledge and technical skill.
Over the years, Kobosil has released numerous EPs and remixes on respected labels such as Ostgut Ton, Klockworks, and his own RK (R – Label Group) imprint. In 2015, he released his debut full-length album “We Grow, You Decline” to critical acclaim.
Beyond his music career, Kobosil has also ventured into fashion. In 2019, he launched his own streetwear label called 44 LABEL GROUP, which reflects his artistic vision and the aesthetics of Berlin’s techno scene.
Kobosil’s influence extends beyond Berlin, with regular appearances at major festivals and clubs worldwide. He’s known for his uncompromising approach to techno and his ability to create intense, immersive experiences on the dance floor.
As of 2024, Kobosil continues to be a prominent figure in the global techno scene, pushing boundaries with his music and expanding his creative endeavors.
