Avicii doc True Stories now live on Netflix in the US

After being off the streaming service for much of 2018, the behind-the-scenes documentary video of Avicii’s rise to stardom and the struggles that came along with it is now available for steaming in the US on Netflix.

The film was directed by Swedish filmmaker Levan Tsikurishvili and seemingly ends with Avicii happy with the decision to stop touring before the sad footnote about his life ending.

Our take is that Bergling was an extremely talented producer who did not want to say no to his fans and management in regards to touring and the toll it took on him. Several scenes of him attempting to perform shows right after being hospitalized were definitely disconcerting along with statements by him and his management that he would die from his workload.
