According to Swedish publication Aftonbladet, Avicii’s music which he had been working on the past year or so will be released later this year.
Per Aftonbladet, “Bergling’s family has now met with the late producer’s record company and agreed that a record of previously released music will come later this year.”
Geffen Records president Neil Jacobson noted after Avicii’s passing in Variety that the artist had recently completed an album which could be released.
Jacobson also noted:
…it was his best music in years, honestly. And I know because I [A&R’d] all of his albums…
We look forward to seeing what music is released in the future.
