Bay Area’s Premier Dance Festival PORTOLA Returns to San Francisco with Dom Dolla, The Prodigy, Moby and more

Goldenvoice has confirmed the return of PORTOLA, the Bay Area’s leading dance music festival, scheduled for Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21 at San Francisco’s PIER 80 following a sold-out event in 2024.

The 2025 PORTOLA lineup will showcase headlining sets from GRAMMY winner LCD Soundsystem and acclaimed ARIA-winning Australian producer and DJ Dom Dolla. The festival roster also features renowned artists across electronic, house, techno, indie dance, and pop genres, including 5-time GRAMMY recipient and multi-Platinum superstar Christina Aguilera, The Chemical Brothers (performing a DJ Set in the Warehouse), Underworld, Peggy Gou, The Prodigy, Moby (Live), Anti Up (collaboration between Chris Lake & Chris Lorenzo), Mau P, and numerous others.

Making its San Francisco debut is DESPACIO—the powerful enclosed audio system and immersive sound experience created by LCD Soundsystem’s James Murphy, 2ManyDJs’ David and Stephen Dewaele (also of Soulwax), and audio engineer John Klett—will be featured at the festival. Murphy and the Dewaele brothers will be spinning vinyl records in the Despacio tent throughout the weekend.

Electronic music pioneer Moby will deliver his first live performance in San Francisco in over ten years, coming off his completely booked European tour celebrating the 25th anniversary of his landmark album PLAY. Following their dynamic Coachella appearance, The Prodigy will make their PORTOLA debut, while dance-punk group The Rapture will perform their first announced show after a lengthy break. The lineup also welcomes Blood Orange, successor to the “Brat Summer” phenomenon, who has hinted at forthcoming new music.

This year’s festival brings back inaugural PORTOLA headliners The Chemical Brothers, who will close the Warehouse on Saturday with what promises to be a memorable DJ set—their only confirmed North American DJ performance this year apart from one New York date. Dance music powerhouse duo Anti Up will also deliver their only confirmed 2025 performance.

After three successful years featuring headliners The Chemical Brothers and Flume in 2022, Skrillex and Eric Prydz Presents HOLO in 2023, and Justice, Gesaffelstein, and RÜFÜS DU SOL in 2024, PORTOLA has cemented its position in the Bay Area music landscape as an exceptional, essential festival experience. Goldenvoice’s established presence in San Francisco and the Bay Area, built through years of operating and booking renowned venues including The Regency Ballroom, The Warfield, and Frost Amphitheater, demonstrates its ongoing dedication to enhancing the city’s status as a worldwide destination for music and cultural events.
