Beatport’s flagship industry gathering is making its return to Los Angeles. Beatport Connect LA lands at the W Hollywood Hotel on Friday, September 25, bringing DJs, label execs, and other electronic music professionals together for a day built around panel discussions, hands-on workshops, and networking.
Now in its second year, the event is scaling up considerably — organizers are splitting programming across two dedicated rooms this time around. One track digs into the bigger-picture forces reshaping the genre, from cultural shifts to emerging technology. The other zeroes in on something more practical: real, direct advice from artists and industry veterans on building a brand, navigating business deals, and sustaining a long-term career.
“As the home of electronic music, Beatport has always been about connecting the people who move the culture forward,” said Ed Hill, Beatport’s Chief Brand Officer, of the expanded format. He framed the event as a chance for artists, promoters, labels, and technologists to trade ideas and build relationships that shape where the industry heads next.
The speaker lineup draws from across the business side of dance music, including Adrienne Fitzpatrick of Warner Records, Bailey Greenwood of WME, Billboard’s Katie Bain, Ninja Tune’s Maddy Savage, Beatport’s own Matt Gralen, SoundCloud’s Maurice Slade, and Nicholas Douglas of NOTION. On the artist side, confirmed names include Kitty Amor, MPH, salute, and Wuki, with more speakers still to be added.
Session topics span a wide range of industry conversations, including panels titled “Electronic Music… What’s Next?,” “Progress, Pause or Regression? The Current State of Diversity in Event & Festival Programming,” “Breaking into Hollywood Through Sync,” “Building an Artist Brand in 2026,” and “The Artist Toolkit: Building a Sustainable Career.” Attendees will also get face time with companies working at the intersection of music and technology, including Musical Beings, Hisong, Beatport.io, and Gigwell.
Beyond the panels, the day kicks off with a community breakfast presented alongside Her Dancefloor, an initiative focused on supporting women in the industry, and wraps with an evening networking mixer for attendees to unwind and connect.
