Calvin Harris released another new song under his “Love Regenerator’ moniker with house duo Solardo. The track entitled ‘Rollercoaster’ samples the 1970s R&B track “Love Rollercoaster” by Ohio Players, later made famous by the Red Hot Chilli Peppers cover version.
In addition a 2nd track ‘All of a Sudden’ also with Solardo was released at the same time. Listen to ‘All of a Sudden’ here on Spotify.
The Scottish producer said of the tracks in 2020 when describing his alter ego:
I wanted to rediscover the way I originally began producing music 22 years ago before I ever thought about how it might be perceived by outside forces.
Just pure fun and experimentation with what sounded good to me. The records are inspired by early rave, breaks, techno and house, the music I was obsessed with growing up,” he added, saying that he tried to make the new tracks sound like they’d “come from a 1991 time capsule”.
This releases comes just weeks after his recent track in August with Eli Brown.
