Sadly the Spring Awakening festival in Chicago, one of the larger festivals around, announced that it will not take place in 2022 and is postponed until the Summer of 2023.
The promoters issued the following statement:

We are disappointed to announce that we are postponing Spring Awakening Music Festival’s 10th Anniversary until Summer 2023.
For over a decade, SAMF has celebrated and showcased performances by some of the best established and emerging EDM talent. Each year, we strive to deliver a festival experience that embodies our fans’ passion and love of music. SAMF is grateful for your trust, and we felt the festival was not at the level you come to expect and deserve. We are focusing all our energy on delivering a kick-ass lineup and new festival experiences for 2023.
All 2022 ticket holders will be honored at the 2023 SAMF. Each ticket will maintain its current benefits, in addition to new upgraded benefits if you choose to roll over to 2023. Ticket buyers will receive an email with all the details and the refund request instructions.
We are deeply committed to this wonderful homegrown independent Chicago music festival. We thank our fans, vendors and partners for their loyalty and unwavering support and we can’t wait to see you in 2023!

Spring Awakening Music Festival
Transfer and refund information is as follows:
All 2022 ticket holders will be honored in 2023. If you purchased a 2022 Spring Awakening ticket (3-Day GA, 3-Day VIP, 3-Day Ultimate VIP) your ticket will be eligible to transfer to Spring Awakening Music Festival 2023.
Each ticket will maintain its current benefits, in addition to new upgraded benefits if you choose to roll over to 2023.
Purchasers of 3-Day GA, 3-Day VIP, and 3-Day Ultimate VIP tickets will receive a 3-Day Spring Awakening Music Festival 2023 ticket. You will receive the same ticket type you purchased (3-Day GA, 3-Day VIP, 3-Day Ultimate VIP).

You may elect a prorated refund for your Spring Awakening Music Festival 3-Day ticket.
Tickets will be refunded at 100% of value, [ unless fees including shipping].
PAYMENT PLAN REFUND SPECIAL NOTE
If you used a payment plan to purchase Spring Awakening Music Festival tickets, and elect a refund, your refund will arrive as a check (not electronically). We are unable to refund back to the card used to make the purchase. After the refund deadline passes, checks will be cut and mailed to fans.
