Denon DJ recently announced an update to the SC6000, their award-winning Prime media player. The update includes a new and improved 10.6-inch touch screen, ethernet and WiFi internet connectivity for streaming TIDAL, Beatport LINK and Soundcloud with additional streaming platforms expected to be added soon as well as the latest version of their Engine OS media player platform. The updated player also has a feature where you can preview tracks directly from the browser without loading them onto the deck.
Previous features include a slot for SATA hard drive, dual-layer ability to output two tracks from one deck with separate RCA outputs for each layer, the 8.5-inch jog wheel with a central screen, eight performance pads and time as well as pitch stretch algorithms. The software that runs the SC6000, Engine OS, offers analysis for key, bpm, waveform and more where the information is then saved to media or the stick.
Denon DJ has also announced the SC6000M that features a motorized jog and customizable seven-inch real vinyl platter with adjustable torque.
The SC6000 is available for $1,499 while the M is $200 more at $1,699.
