For the 3rd year running, famed DJ Harvey will present his Mercury Rising party at the legendary Pikes Hotel in Ibiza. The 8 week residency begins August 7th ending September 25th. The dj is also named Cultural Attaché for the hotel which effectively gives him say over items as diverse as lighting, music, food, etc.
Said Harvey on this party: “So many people say ‘Oh I don’t give a f*ck what people think’ and I’m the complete opposite of that. I give a f*ck. Cultural Attaché is a broad term for basically being a lot more involved. I do a lot of things that most DJs don’t consider. Putting a bit more effort and care into the whole thing and going beyond the natural call of duty of a DJ and really being involved in all aspects of the evenings entertainment. I do take great care in compiling the best music that I possibly can for the night that portrays my idea of a hedonistic Balearic house party.”
