In a recent interview with Q Magazine (via Pitchfork), the Gorillaz’ lead men Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett stated that they have a 10-episode tv show in the works. Other juicy tidbits were that they spoke with Sade and Morrissey about collaborating… unfortunately it did not work out with either.
