Insomniac Announces Music and Gaming Event ‘PLAY Festival!’


 

Insomniac recently announced the debut in 2019 of a new festival that will be the first-ever interactive gaming and music experience. PLAY Festival will intertwine the worlds of music, art, eSports, virtual reality, and cosplay to create an event for music enthusiasts, casual and professional gamers as well as non-gamers. The Co-Founder of PLAY Festival, Paul Campbell, said the following:

“It’s an honor to partner with Insomniac on PLAY Festival. I had the inspiration for this event back in 2015 and wanted to create something that would combine my passions for music and gaming. Since then, the gaming and eSports industries have grown far beyond my wildest dreams. I knew Pasquale and Insomniac were the perfect partners to team up with to bring this one-of-a-kind event to life.”

PLAY Festival will offer immersive experiences through multidimensional arenas that will allow fans aka Players test their skills and challenge others in numerous gaming as well as arcade realms. Players will witness professional gaming competitions with top eSport gamers, teams, and athletes from around the world. PLAY Festival will also offer immersive activations like laser tag, drone racing, gaming trucks, virtual reality, vendors, interactive art and installations. PLAY Festival will feature multiple gaming-inspired stages with Insomniac’s impressive production across the festival grounds with live performances from dance music and hip-hop artists. Pasquale Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac, had the following to say:
