Kaskade Sues Palms After KAOS’ Closure for Breach of Contract

The Vegas day/nightclub abruptly shut down just 8 months after its grand opening, due to a series of unfortunate events and poorly accounted executive decisions that ultimately left the club at a $26.8m net loss. It all came to a head when they made an unprecedented $60m deal with Marshmello, and promptly dropped it immediately after. While the helmeted DJ presumably endured the biggest “bummer” moment in the entire lose-lose situation, Kaskade was the one who eventually came back knocking failed club’s door for damages.

The iconic house DJ had performed 20 shows and was set for 40 more over the course of 2019 and 2020 when his residency was cut short for obvious reasons. “KAOS would ultimately close on Nov. 5, and Kaskade’s attorneys say Palms executives did not take any steps to provide an alternate venue for him, effectively canceling the rest of his performances,” according to News 3 Las Vegas

While the club reportedly paid Kaskade for his 3 canceled shows in October, it’s a far cry from the 2 year contract he held with the supposedly “premier gaming and entertainment destination in Las Vegas for both residents and tourists alike.” After all, now his touring agent has to find another pool club in the lacking town of Las Vegas to book him next summer- we wish them the best!
