The famous techno parade Love Parade drew hundreds of thousands to Berlin in the 1990s and 2000s until the tragic stampede death of attendees in 2010 ended the event.
Now word comes that Rave the Planet plans to bring back the spirit of the loved event on July 9, 2022 to Berlin.
The new event involves one of the co-founders of the Love Parade, Dr. Motte. Organizers said of the new event:
(We seek to) establish an official celebration of electronic dance music culture, with an annual event: A new parade, in the spirit of the Berlin Love Parade, based on its original values, progressively designed for the 21st century.”
