Marquee’s Multi-Million Dollar Makeover: Inside the Complete Reinvention of Two Nightlife Legends

The nightlife world is about to witness something extraordinary as Tao Group Hospitality is pulling back the curtain on not one, but two completely reimagined venues that are set to redefine what it means to experience nightlife at its finest. The iconic Marquee brand is stepping boldly into the future with spectacular renovations in both New York and Las Vegas—two cities where the night never truly ends.

This September 25th, Marquee New York will swing open its doors for the third complete transformation in its 22-year reign as a nightlife institution. This isn’t just another renovation—it’s a carefully crafted evolution that honors the club’s legendary past while embracing the future of entertainment. Announced guests include Steve Aoki on September 26th and Zedd on September 27th.

Working alongside renowned designer Jack Hotho, the team has completely gutted and reimagined the space from the ground up. The result is a venue that pulses with warmth and intimacy, where rich dark oak finishes create an inviting foundation and subtle purple accents add a touch of moody elegance. An upgraded LED system and immersive visual technology now surround an expanded dance floor, creating an environment where music doesn’t just play—it lives and breathes through every surface.

This is nightlife designed for today’s generation, built around their desire for authentic, music-driven experiences that feel both intimate and spectacular. The club’s commitment to its musical roots shines through in its stellar artist lineup, featuring powerhouse performers like Steve Aoki, Kaskade, Oliver Heldens, Francis Mercier, Chris Lorenzo, and Elderbrook. Each performance promises to showcase the venue’s enhanced capabilities while delivering the energy that has made Marquee a household name.

Hot on the heels of New York’s debut, Marquee Las Vegas is preparing for its own October reveal—and it’s nothing short of breathtaking. The legendary multi-level venue inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas is undergoing a complete transformation of its main room, emerging as a temple to both technology and luxury.

At the heart of this transformation stands a magnificent 1.5-ton monolith LED screen that promises to deliver visuals with unprecedented clarity and impact. Complementing this centerpiece is a dynamic moving LED installation and an enhanced lighting and laser system that brings festival-quality production indoors. The result is an immersive environment where every beat, every drop, and every moment becomes larger than life.

The design inspiration draws from the mysterious beauty of amethyst stone, translated into a sophisticated palette of custom metallic wall coverings, gleaming bronze mirror panels, and sumptuous burgundy and champagne velvets. Every surface has been carefully chosen to enhance rather than compete with the music and visuals, creating a harmonious balance between luxury and performance.

The talent roster reads like a who’s who of electronic music royalty: Fisher, Alesso, Steve Aoki, Pauly D, Loud Luxury, Benny Benassi, Cedric Gervais, and Claptone are just the beginning of what promises to be an unforgettable series of performances.

The vision behind these transformations comes from the top. “Marquee has always been synonymous with energy, music, and unforgettable moments,” reflects Noah Tepperberg, Co-CEO of Tao Group Hospitality. His words capture the essence of what makes these renovations so significant—they’re not just updating spaces, they’re preserving and evolving a cultural institution. “It’s more than a nightclub, it’s a cultural touchpoint that’s evolved with the times while staying rooted in the pulse of nightlife. With these remodels, we’re honoring the legacy of the brand while elevating every detail to meet the evolving expectations of our guests.”

Jason Strauss, Co-CEO of Tao Group Hospitality, shares this vision of thoughtful innovation. “We’ve reimagined both Marquee New York and Marquee Las Vegas to deliver next-level experiences that reflect the future of nightlife. From design to technology to service, every element has been thoughtfully considered to raise the bar once again. We couldn’t be more excited to unveil this next chapter in two cities that mean so much to the brand.”

Two legendary venues, two distinct personalities, but one shared vision: to create spaces where music, technology, and human connection converge to create something truly magical.

These transformations represent more than just renovations—they’re a bold statement about the future of nightlife entertainment. Both venues will continue their tradition of hosting the world’s most sought-after DJs and artists, but now with the added dimension of Tao Group’s signature hospitality and a renewed commitment to creating truly immersive, experiential environments.

As September approaches for New York and October looms for Las Vegas, the anticipation builds. The Marquee revolution is about to begin, and the nightlife world will never be quite the same. Check out Marquee on Instagram at the links below:
