Michael Watford, House Vocalist, Has Died

One of the most recognizable house music vocalists of the 90s and 2000s, Michael Watford, has passed at the age of 64. Born in 1959 in Virginia, the singer was most well known for ‘So Into You’ among other tracks. ‘So Into You’ reached #1 in the US charts in 1994.  Watford worked with djs and producers Roger Sanchez and Masters At Work, among others.

Watford’s death was announced by his son, Solomon Watford. Solomon wrote:

“We want to thank everyone including the house music community who has contacted me and my family during this difficult time, Lastly, I will be providing all funeral information and repast details this week.”
