New song from Major Lazer “Blow That Smoke” released

The new track “Blow That Smoke” was just released by Major Lazer feat. Tove Lo.

Lo said of the track:

“This song has been long in the making and I’m so happy about this collab. It started with me and Diplo just sending ideas back and forth until I sent this vocal I was unsure what to do with, and they made magic with it! To me the song is about the sweet escape from your troubles or just mundane life by being a bit reckless and romantic.”

The song comes on the feels of a long list of recent releases from Major Lazer working with African artists such as Burna Boy, Babes Wodumo, Mr. Eazi, Raye and Kizz Daniel, plus Kranium. Each song dropped with a video by South African director Adriaan Louw. Shot in Lagos, Durban, Ghana and across Africa, the videos pay homage to the cultural richness and youth culture of modern day Africa. Dame, the ancient West African style of boxing is on display “All My Life,” the West African coast in “Loyal” features surging, Accra’s biker crews in “Tied Up,” and lastly African dancing in Durban in “Orkant/Balance Pon It.” The songs taken as a whole are featured on the Major Lazer album: “Afrobeats Mixtape.”
