Odd Mob and OMNOM are back at it under their HYPERBEAM alias, and this time they’re taking us somewhere dark and hypnotic. “Take You There,” out now on Insomniac Records, is a tech-house cut built for the late-night crowd — think gritty basslines, alternating synth drones, punchy drums, guttural low-end, and a vocal hook that loops and echoes its way through the whole track.
This isn’t the pair’s first rodeo as HYPERBEAM. Last fall they dropped “System,” a bass-heavy rework of M.I.A.’s GRAMMY-nominated “Paper Planes,” following their debut EP ‘The Unexplained.’ “Take You There” keeps that same club-ready DNA intact while pushing the project’s sound into even more uncharted territory.
Individually, both artists have been putting in serious work. Brisbane’s Odd Mob is ARIA Gold-certified and currently deep into a European and North American run with stops on the main stages of Tomorrowland, HARD Summer, ÎLESONIQ, Outside Lands, ARC, III Points, and Osheaga — plus an Australia 2.0 headline tour lined up for the fall. OMNOM, meanwhile, has quietly built one of house music’s most distinctive catalogs, scoring a number-one Beatport record in 2023 with “Losing Control” (also alongside Odd Mob) and landing on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart. He’s got Lollapalooza, Marquee Skydeck New York, Marquee Nightclub Las Vegas, Splash House, and The Concourse Project on his 2026 calendar.
With HYPERBEAM sets locked in at HARD Summer and Outside Lands, “Take You There” arrives right on time — another proof point that Odd Mob and OMNOM know exactly how to bridge underground club energy with festival-stage scale.
