Pasquale Rotella Reveals Big Things Ahead for Insomniac

Pasquale Rotella, CEO and Founder of Insomniac, has issued his annual State of Insomniac update, shedding light on the future of EDC, Beyond Wonderland, and Nocturnal Wonderland, as well as the company’s sustainability, wellness, and fashion initiatives. “As we head into 2020, the Insomniac team and I will continue our mission of bringing people together through memorable experiences while spreading positivity around the world,” writes Rotella in an Instagram post.

In anticipation of Electric Daisy Carnival going on 25 years old in 2021, their flagship festival, EDC Las Vegas, will expand to utilize the entire Speedway interior this summer for an even more immersive and epic experience. In addition, Rotella says to “expect a year-long celebration”, with multiple new destinations on the books for the future, to be announced over the next few months. Beyond Wonderland will be returning to the Pacific Northwest after almost a decade since its last rendition in Seattle. Meanwhile, the fate of Nocturnal Wonderland isn’t yet clear, to be left to an Instagram poll whether fans would rather “skip this year edition and plan for 2021 OR have it back at [Glen Helen Speedway] for our 25th year.”

Regarding sustainability, Rotella reported that refillable water stations at last year’s events served the “equivalent of just under 4MM single-use plastic waters bottles”, and they plan to implement more green methods such as solar and biofuel power.
