Throughout the run, ILLENIUM debuted new material for audiences, including “Feels Like You,” “Love Is A Chemical,” and “Monster.” The performances also brought a series of high-profile guest appearances, with Ellie Goulding joining him for “Don’t Want Your Love,” Bastille and Dabin appearing for “Feel Live,” Tom Grennan taking the stage for “Forever,” Alok collaborating on “To The Moon,” and HAYLA and Wooli performing “In My Arms.” He also reached back to his 2023 self-titled record, bringing out Spiritbox‘s Courtney LaPlante for “Shivering.” Perhaps the most unexpected moment of the night came when ILLENIUM unveiled a brand new collaboration with David Guetta and Dustin Lynch called “Die Living,” performed alongside a live string quartet — a moment that quickly became one of the most talked-about highlights of the entire show.
ILLENIUM Presents ODYSSEY is designed as a fully immersive, multi-sensory event, making full use of the Sphere’s cutting-edge technology, including the venue’s record-breaking LED display — the highest resolution of its kind anywhere in the world — and its state-of-the-art Sphere Immersive Sound audio system. The stunning visuals that accompany the music were created by Berlin-based animation studio Woodblock in partnership with Sphere Studios, two teams widely recognized for their work in cinematic storytelling and experiential design. The narrative arc of ODYSSEY opens with a symbol deeply familiar to longtime ILLENIUM fans: a phoenix emerging from fire. From there, the story follows two female warriors searching across vast and treacherous landscapes to find one another. Along the way, both characters are tested and transformed, ultimately arriving at a place of self-acceptance, forgiveness, and inner wholeness. The visual journey takes audiences through swirling vortexes, wormholes, distant planets, and deep into a demon’s lair before reaching its resolution. At its core, ODYSSEY is a classic hero’s journey — exactly what its name suggests.
