Pioneer has just officially announced the XDJ-1000MK2, sister to the flagship CDJ-2000NXS2 model. New features for the XDJ model include: 7-inch, full-color, hi-res touch screen, enhanced track browsing functions, FLAC and ALAC files compatibility. The screen has been upgraded from the former touchscreen to a new RGB waveforms. An additional new feature is an enhanced track search with options to search via rich tags, BPM and Key. Lastly the support is added for the DDJ-SP1 controller with up to 8 hot cues.
As the march towards USB-only players continues we expect in the future to see the XDJ line to take over as the primary model for Pioneer.
