Rapture Electronic Music Festival at MMW Announces Phase 2 Lineup Today

Rapture Electronic Music Festival announced the phase 2 lineup today for its debut at Miami Music Week 2017 on the beaches at Historic Virginia Key Beach Park on Thursday, March 23rd from 12pm – 2am. The 14-hour event added Dave Seaman, Dennis Ferrer, DeWalta, East End Dubs, Gaiser [live], Henry Saiz, M.A.N.D.Y., Magdalena, and Rodriguez Jr. [live].

Rapture founders Youssef Khamis and Misha Warum wanted to promote the Virginia Key shorelines, lush spaces, and ocean views while festival attendees danced away to underground music. They said “we feel that taking a lineup of this scale and presenting it in an alternative environment was an opportunity to showcase Miami’s geography to people outside the city. We even have beach access, so fans can take a break from dancing and enjoy the water.”

The new festival will have five uniquely themed stages. The In-Tune Stage will feature DJs Steve Lawler, Ellen Allien, Fur Coat, andhim, Dennis Ferrer, Gaiser, Magdalena, and Rodriguez Jr. [live]. The Flying Circus stage along with Miami’s Secret Garden will boast a carnival theme in a 5,000 square foot tent with stilt walkers, clowns, and aerialists to the music of Carl Craig, Art Department, Audiofly, Matthew Dear, Francesca Lombardo, and M.A.N.D.Y. as well as an exclusive appearance from M.A.N.F.L.Y. The UN_MUTE Stage will host minimal sounds from Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu, tINI, DeWalta, and East End Dubs. The Soundgarden & Castaway Stage will feature progressive house from Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J, Henry Saiz, Dave Seaman, Nick Warren and Jody Wisternoff as Way Out West while guests dance in the sand. The Nomad Stage will welcome Miami’s local up and coming DJs.

The festival will have interactive performances and activities, art installations, food and beverage options at a beachfront setting that is a protected environmental oasis. Festival goers can partake in Rapture’s floating lounge in the ocean, massages, and yoga sessions throughout the day. They can also dance in Incendia, which is a series of interactive geometric domes up to 20 feet in diameter with art, design, and science under various misting and fire-laden roofs.

VIP as well as $50 second release GA tickets can be purchased at Resident Advisor while supplies last, and be sure to checkout the full Rapture Electronic Music Festival lineup below.
