Temple SF expands to Denver, announces opening lineups!

Paul Hemming, artist-deejay-entrepreneur, will open his second Zen Compound this Fall in Denver in celebration of the 10-year anniversary of his Zen Compound in San Francisco. Zen Compound houses four distinct yet related concepts in a single space that includes an office for startups, a gallery for contemporary art, a restaurant, and Temple Nightclub.

“We see Denver as a sister city to San Francisco in many ways,” said Hemming regarding expanding in Denver. “The Mile-High City is a major metropolitan hub and has an eclectic confluence of technology, music, art, entertainment and nightlife. It’s an exploding market with refined tastes, an entrepreneurial spirit and drive. Denver has a highly affluent market with appreciation for creativity and attention to detail.”

Hemmings added: “We want the building to feel like it’s alive and its Artificial Intelligence is reacting to your presence. I consider myself an Artpreneur, where my concept can incubate music, art, and technology into a whole organism. We selected Denver because of the population base, as well as the growth and development becoming more diverse and international in their backgrounds and passions, which is the composition of the Zen Compound brand.”

Zen Compound in Denver will open in stages with Temple Denver Nightclub going live in the Fall and the three remaining concepts will follow in the New Year. The new 25,000-square foot Zen Compound will be located in the old City Hall Event Venue in Denver’s Capitol Hill and Golden Triangle neighborhoods. Temple Denver will have a similar vibe as Temple San Francisco with a heightened level of VIP services for 21+ guests. Construction is currently underway and the architectural team is aiming for an aesthetic of “futuristic escapism” while preserving the original structure. Hemming is sole proprietor with a 20-year lease of the building.

At Temple the dj booth will be located in the center of the club. Sound will be provided by the well regarded Funktion One brand.

“We’ve worked hard over the past 10 years to evolve and perfect our concept — and now we’re ready to expand,” said Hemming. “Denver is the perfect location for our second Zen Compound. It mirrors San Francisco with a lot of new start-ups, tons of millennials, an active nightlife scene and great energy. We found the perfect space and were able to assemble a great team and it all came together.”

Opening week djs  at Temple Denver have been announced with BlasterJaxx and Showtek over Halloween weekend and then Nervo and Makj the following weekend.
