The Chainsmokers, Kygo and more winners in $2 Billion Shark Tank drink acquisition

In the past week it was announced that Poppi, a prebiotic seltzer drink first shown on the Shark Tank tv show, was sold to Pepsico for $1.95 Billion (net purchase price $1.65 Billion after cash tax benefits). Poppi (formerly Mother’s) had a large amount of well-known investors profit in the deal such as the Chainsmokers (via their Mantis VC fund), Kygo and his manager Myles Shear via Palm Tree Crew,  Other investors include singers Ellie Goulding and Halsey, NBA player Kevin Love, actress Olivia Munn, NBA player Russell Westbrook, actress Nicole Scherzinger, DJ Chantel Jeffries, influencer Alix Earle, music artist Post Malone. One set of investors saw an 88X return on their investment in the drink brand. 

On Shark Tank a 25% investment in the drink company was made by shark Rohan Oza and later he invested an additional $25 million.
