Thump closes up shop (Vice’s EDM website)

News broke yesterday that Vice’s standalone dance music website Thump will be shuttering with dance music coverage folded into the main website. This comes as part of a 2% layoff at the company affecting approximately 60 employees.  This comes after a $450 million venture capital investment in Vice to help it expand internationally and with video creation. While Thump was a competitor of ours, we respected greatly their coverage of dance music and they will be missed.
