[UPDATED INFORMATION] Time Warp announced today that it will bring its debut festival to New York at the historic Kingsbridge Armory in the Bronx this Thanksgiving weekend. After searching New York City for the perfect venue to house this legendary techno festival, The Kingsbridge Armory was chosen for its 180,000 square foot main hall with 100 foot ceilings. The massive warehouse structure was originally built in the 1910’s.
Also due to high demand, Time Warp has added a second night. Early bird tickets sold out in record time for the underground techno festival on November 28th and 29th. The first release of regular tickets will go on sale tomorrow, September 18 at 1PM [EDT] at www.time-warp.de/usa. Time Warp is expected to announce the full artist lineup in the coming weeks.
The NYC edition will have an impressive lineup since Time Warp has had performances in the past from Dixon, Jamie Jones, Dubfire, Chris Liebing, Marco Carola, Loco Dice, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano, Laurent Garnier, John Digweed, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, and of course, Sven Vath. American fans can expect cutting edge technology like state-of-the-art video, lighting, and lasers combined with techno music at the 20 year celebration of this underground event.
“[Time Warp] is also a joyous come-together of the international techno scene and represents a fixed meeting place for the Time Warp community that has been formed across national borders with one thing in common: an immeasurable great love for electronic music.“ –Resident Advisor
