Ultra Abu Dhabi has been canceled just two days before the festival’s Middle Eastern debut was set to take place, to be postponed indefinitely. The event’s website has been updated with a ticket notice assuring refunds will be processed for all attendees. The organizers’ sent an official explanation to ticket holders via email:
“In line with our commitment to deliver the ultimate Ultra experience to our festival goers and as part of the local and international measures taken to ensure the health and safety of the public, Ultra Abu Dhabi 2020 will be postponed. The decision has been taken due to the travel restrictions imposed by some countries and airlines for individuals and groups.”
Among the headliners that were set to take the stage this weekend at DU Arena in Abu Dhabi were Alesso, Afrojack, Dash Berlin, DJ Snake, Major Lazer, Zedd, and more. Ultra Miami 2020 remains on the calendar for later this month.
