Just last week Diplo announced the release of his new house music label Higher Ground. Diplo’s new house label is a platform for established producers such as Diplo and up-and-coming talent in house music to showcase their tracks, projects, and collaborations.
The inspiration behind creating the Higher Ground label was to pay homage to the legends of house music and progressively create new sounds while pushing the genre forward. “House is where it all came from. Everything we know and love as dance music today started with the masters in Chicago and Detroit almost forty years ago,” Diplo says about his new venture.
The first to debut their work on Higher Ground is the duo Walker & Royce. The Brooklyn-based house duo released a double-single EP titled “Rave Grave,” which is out now.
Walker & Royce have a distinct crisp sound that evolves throughout the entirety of the tracks. The double-single songs also feature extended versions of both songs which will keep you moving for longer!
