We return to Ushuaïa this summer with a brand new weekly event, ‘Defected presents DFTD’. Championing a selection of emerging Ibiza and international talent alongside special headline guests the event will reflect the sound of our new label imprint DFTD.
Not satisfied with just one hotel, this summer sees Ushuaïa unveil its next project, The Ushuaïa Tower. Described simply as “mind-blowing”, The Tower is situated beside the original Ushuaïa Beach Hotel location and will offer an even more incredible guest experience with Defected providing the new venue’s first Monday residency.
Taking place from 10th June until 30th September, Defected presents DFTD will also feature some of the record labels with whom we have worked closely over the years, so you can also expect showcase events from some of the world’s most influential and respected imprints. Initially confirmed to play are Noir, Osunlade, Flashmob, Sam Divine and Sonny Fodera and the full 17-week line up will be announced shortly so check back for announcements about all the new music coming on the DFTD imprint alongside full event details.
In an effort to recapture the original spirit of Ibiza, entry to all the parties will be FREE and open to all, meaning it won’t cost you a penny to see some of the finest DJs in a stylish outdoor setting.
Said Simon Dunmore of the residency: “Hosting 2 weekly parties gives us the opportunity to be more adventurous with our line ups. We will be showcasing eclectic new talent and working closely with our friends at associated labels. DFTD will be a free daytime party at Ushuaïa Tower and is the perfect opportunity for ourselves and all the artists we work with to say thank you to all the clubbers that support us week in, week out with their hard earned cash.”
With the most incredible rooms on the island soaring high above Playa d´en Bossa beach, The Ushuaïa Tower will boast state-of-the-art technology and new features, from built-in jacuzzis on outdoor terraces to an innovative chromatherapy LED system in a spectacular location. Guests staying at The Tower will have full access to the services, facilities and all events at The Ushuaïa Club but if tastes prefer tranquillity and intimacy then The Tower will be the place to be.
The Monday DFTD parties at the Ushuaïa Tower are only part of the story for Defected in Ibiza this season. The world-renowned Defected In The House events will be returning for an incredible 11th consecutive season on the island, hosting Saturday night parties at the new club Bomba Ibiza.
