Moby is heading back to the West Coast this fall for what amount to his only two confirmed North American dates right now. The multi-platinum, five-time Grammy-nominated artist will play Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco on Thursday, November 5, followed two nights later by a headline set at Brookside at The Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Saturday, November 7.
The San Francisco date brings out support from Azzecca and DJ Holographic. For the Pasadena show, Moby won’t be alone at the top of the bill — British electronic duo Underworld, the act behind “Born Slippy (Nuxx)” and one of dance music’s longest-running live acts, joins as a special guest. Fcukers and Nia Archives (DJ set) round out that night’s support, alongside another appearance from DJ Holographic.
Brookside at The Rose Bowl isn’t the stadium itself, but the open-air, grass-covered golf course right next door, with the San Gabriel Mountains framing the backdrop. Goldenvoice, the promoter behind Coachella and Stagecoach, is producing the show — a setting well suited to the kind of expansive, immersive production the venue tends to lend itself to.
Both shows land at a genuinely strong moment for Moby. He just wrapped a sold-out run through Europe this summer and turned in what’s widely regarded as one of the standout live-band performances of this year’s Coachella. Born Richard Melville Hall — a name that traces back to a family connection to Herman Melville, author of Moby-Dick — he’s been putting out music since his 1991 single “Go,” a track Rolling Stone has ranked among the best records ever made. His catalog has sold more than 20 million albums worldwide, and his production and remix credits stretch across artists as varied as David Bowie and Daft Punk. Outside of music, he’s also known for his advocacy work with groups including the Humane Society and the ACLU.
Underworld, the duo of Rick Smith and Karl Hyde, are more than three decades removed from their landmark debut Dubnobasswithmyheadman, but 2025 turned into something of a renaissance year for them — a Boiler Room debut that pulled in over a million views in its first five days, a reissue campaign that saw all seven of their studio albums chart simultaneously, and a sold-out US tour. They’ve stayed active on the collaborative side too, recently linking up with Brutalismus 3000, KETTAMA, and KI/KI.
With only these two U.S. dates on the books currently, the pair of California shows are shaping up to be a rare chance to catch Moby’s live show in the near future.
