Berlin Bans Dancing in Clubs to Limit Covid

Beginning this Wednesday, Berlin has banned dancing in nightclubs.  In a somewhat strange move the clubs are allowed to remain open as long as they are not in a ‘state’ with a high infection rate.

Berlin’s club commissioner Lutz Leichsenring told RA:

“20 months of pandemic and no better idea than to ban dancing, It doesn’t take much imagination to figure out that you can’t enforce a dance ban in party basements and private homes. Without 2G and without tests. No word about PCR tests, no data on level of infections assigned to clubs that justifies such massive restrictions.”

We hope that our friends in Germany see a large decline in Covid infections soon and can return to full clubbing ASAP.
