The long awaited moment has finally arrived. ‘Paradise Again’, Swedish House Mafia’s long-awaited album, will be released on April 15, via Republic Records.
As an electronic music pioneer and a significant contributor to history, it is surprising that the Swedish House Mafia has never released a full-length album. There are be few EDM or pop groups that are as influential as the trio of Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso and Steve Angello are. Now, after fourteen years together, including the five years they have been apart, Swedish House Mafia announce the long-awaited arrival of their album ‘Paradise Again’.
On April 15, the first EDM supergroup will release its debut album and perform at Coachella. According to a recent article in SPIN, Swedish House Mafia, with their album “Paradise Again,” are turning Dante’s Inferno upside down, exploring the concept musically and aesthetically.
Sebastian Ingrosso noted: recommends:
When you listen to this album, listen from start to finish (…) I don’t care if it has 50 streams. I don’t give a f*. We just feel like we still have something to say, and that’s why we’re saying it.
In the same feature, Steve Angello commented:
When we decided to run it back, I felt that naiveness, I felt that there was no judgment, no expectations. I didn’t expect us to go back and do ‘Don’t You Worry Child,’ part three, four, five and six. We were just like a fresh new page, and that made me feel like I was 15 again.
The announcement of the album release date comes with a music video for their latest track ‘Redlight‘ featuring Sting, a rework of one of the Police’s biggest songs, “Roxanne.” .
