The news EDC fans have been waiting decades for is finally here. Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella has officially announced that EDC Las Vegas will expand to two weekends in 2027 — the first time in the festival’s history.
The 2027 edition will feature “EDC Dusk” weekend from May 14–16 and “EDC Dawn” weekend from May 21–23, with the full “Dusk Till Dawn” experience spanning 12 days from May 13–24. EDC Week sits at the center of it all, and Insomniac has teased that “a lot is planned for the week in between” — details to be announced at a later date. Pricing starts at a lower $399 for each weekend individually and $599 for both weekends.
The biggest shift beyond the calendar expansion is capacity. The 2027 festival is designed to have a lower capacity across both weekends, giving headliners more room at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and making travel accommodations easier. For anyone who has ever battled the post-EDC parking lot exodus at 6 AM, that alone is worth celebrating.
The lineup will be the same for both weekends, and both Camp EDC and Hotel EDC will be active during each — with more details on lodging options coming soon.
Rotella spoke to the spirit of the expansion: “We wanted to reimagine EDC as a new type of immersive journey across 12 days and two consecutive weekend celebrations in one city we love. This concept gives Headliners the freedom to choose their own path and join us for one or both weekends, while enabling us to continue evolving, experimenting creatively, and sharing new moments Under the Electric Sky.”
EDC Las Vegas notably remained a single-weekend festival throughout its three-decade run, even as peers like Tomorrowland, Coachella, Ultra Music Festival, Austin City Limits, and Electric Forest all eventually expanded to two weekends. That era is now officially over.
GA, GA+, and VIP Passes go on sale Friday, May 22, at 12 PM PT via Front Gate. Layaway plans for all pass types will be available with a $5 deposit to start. Artist lineups, stage themes, and citywide event programming will be announced at a later date.
Whether you’re riding for EDC Dusk, EDC Dawn, or going the full 12-day journey, 2027 is shaping up to be the most ambitious edition Under the Electric Sky yet.
