Summer is heating up at AVALON Hollywood! On Friday, July 12th, house heads Zack Martino and VAVO are switching it up for this edition of CONTROL Friday. Turn headbanging into body-grooving because these guys are bringing the progressive house vibes and are ready to make you dance.
Hailing from Staten Island, Zack Martino is no stranger when it comes to music production. Since the age of 5, he’s been formally trained in piano, guitar, and the drums. When he was about 11, he used what he knew about these classic instruments and applied it to electronic music production. Ever since then, he’s been making upbeat progressive house tracks that fans know and love. He has also worked with some big names in electronic music such as Laidback Luke and Martin Garrix, to name a few. Ultimately, Zack Martino really knows how to get a crowd moving with his tense build-ups and banging basslines.
VAVO is a duo consisting of Vancouver native Jessie Fischer and London-born Alden Martin. While the two were over 3,000 miles apart, they would work on music remotely before they ever met in person. They have seen immense success and have gone on to release tracks on Republic Records and Spinnin Records. VAVO is known for their genre-defying sound that goes beyond their electro house roots, which definitely keeps things interesting throughout their sets!
