Insomniac Announces EDC Las Vegas 2018 Including Date Change + More!

Insomniac announced yesterday that the 22nd edition of Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Las Vegas will be moving from Father’s Day weekend in June to a three-day dusk until dawn festivalĀ on Friday, May 18th through Sunday, May 20th. EDC Las Vegas 2018 will be returning to Las Vegas Motor Speedway offering fans the option to camp for the first time, experience extended festival hours where fans can catch extended sets and cool down with early-entry opening ceremonies at the cosmicMEADOW lawn before the gates officially open each day, multiple ticketing tiers with layaway plans, and an independent shuttle service that operates the country’s largest sporting as well asĀ music events will be taking over previous years’ EDC Las Vegas shuttle program.

“EDC Las Vegas is more than just a festival—it’sĀ a community withoutĀ boundaries, a celebration of life, art and dance music cultureā€Ā said PasqualeĀ Rotella, Founder and CEO of Insomniac. ā€œWe strive to make every year better than the last, and after a lot of brainstorming and feedback from our community, we have decided to move next year’s festival toĀ May 18, 19 and 20. This way we canĀ enjoyĀ coolerĀ weather, the gates can open earlier, and we can hold a very special opening ceremony each day at cosmicMEADOW. I’m also excited to announce that for the first time ever at EDC we’ll be building an immersive camping experience right next to the Speedway, which will eliminateĀ traffic allĀ togetherĀ for campers.Ā Shuttle operations will be handed over to an independent company that specializes in the largest music and sporting events in the country. This is what they do and they do it better than anyoneĀ else, year over year.Ā I’m looking forward to revealing what this exciting next chapter of EDC Las Vegas will look like in the months to come.”

EDC Las Vegas 2018 will offer a camping program where the following options and amenities will be available:

  • Rent an air-conditioned general admission tent with dust-control canvas walls, artificial grass, and electrical outlets for up to six attendees.
  • Rent an air-conditioned Premier tent complete with dust-control canvas walls, artificial grass, twin or queen-sized beds, linens, pillows, towels, tables, chairs, and lights for two or four attendees.
  • Bring your own RV and hook it up to the pre-arranged power on-site.
  • Rent an RV fully set up and ready for arrival complete with linens and pillows.

The campgroundsĀ will offer convenient ins and outs of the festival each day for the campers, plenty of shade, seating, water, food and beverage vendors, a general store, activities plus more. A neighboring area will have Sound Camps where fans can build their own themed environments.

Early Owl three-day general admission passes start at $325 and VIP three-day passes start at $699, both not including taxes and fees. Passes go on sale here on Thursday, September 28 at noon (PST), and checkout the “EDC Las Vegas 2018 Official Announcement” video below!
