Coming off a jam-packed summer that included a run through Europe and a hometown set at Lollapalooza, John Summit is going bigger than ever. The dance music star just confirmed a stop at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, December 12 as part of his CTRL ESCAPE tour, and it stands as the largest headline show of his career so far.

The Coliseum show is just one stop on a broader run that kicks off in October, taking Summit through major arenas in Chicago, Miami, Brooklyn, Boston, and other cities. Expect a reworked production setup built to match his current creative direction, aiming for a bigger, more immersive feel that fits the scale of this next chapter.
This announcement caps off a huge summer run for Summit, which included a packed residency at [UNVRS] Ibiza, a pair of weekends at Tomorrowland (one featuring a stage curated by his Experts Only imprint), and an Experts Only night at Tofte Manor in the UK. He’s not slowing down for fall either — Experts Only Festival makes its return to New York City on September 19-20, following a sold-out first run back in 2025.
CTRL ESCAPE, which dropped back on April 15, doesn’t stick to one lane. The project moves between hard-hitting tech-house, dubstep, drum & bass, and beyond, painting a picture of where Summit’s head is at right now: constant touring, stadium-sized gigs, and still carving out time for the small, intimate shows that keep him close to his earliest fans. It’s music built to translate whether you’re hearing it in an arena or a basement club.
Summit has become one of the biggest names working in dance music today, racking up over a billion streams worldwide, two #1 U.S. dance radio singles, and eight Top 10 placements on Billboard’s Hot Electronic/Dance Songs chart. His resume of sold-out rooms includes a Madison Square Garden show that sold out in under two hours, three back-to-back nights at the Kia Forum in L.A., a headlining date at BMO Stadium, a debut at London’s O2 Arena, and a year-end set at Folsom Field in front of 38,000 people. Later this year, he’ll add another milestone: his first-ever Ibiza residency, taking over [UNVRS] for nine Monday nights.
Before all this, Summit was working as a CPA during the day and teaching music on the side — a Chicago kid who’s now based out of Miami. That background fed directly into his label, Experts Only, built around the idea of zero creative limits, spanning house, techno, melodic sounds, and whatever else fits. His debut album ‘Comfort In Chaos’ came out in 2024, with ‘CTRL ESCAPE’ following this past April. Together, the two records track the tension between the grind of a 9-to-5 and the release that comes from losing yourself on a dancefloor — his own journey from spreadsheets to stages, and a reminder that music can be as much about community as it is about escape.
