Kaskade’s Six-Figure Residency Rate Revealed in KAOS Lawsuit

The plot thickens as the story of the best Vegas club that never was continues…

Last November, Red Rock Resorts rather abruptly announced the closure of their latest venture, KAOS Nightclub, attached to Palms Casino, just 8 months into its existence. Shortly after, one of their resident DJs Kaskade went after the company for his due share of about 8 million (7.95 million to be exact) according to a report by Billboard. With 37 shows left in the 2 year agreement, that numer equates to a hefty $215K per gig.

FP Holdings, the lawyers representing Palms, requested Kaskade provide documents pertaining to income he made during the time relevant to his cancelled performances. The DJ’s legal team referred to the request as “overbroad and unduly burdensome.” The venue retaliated with the assertion that “any damages Plaintiffs seek should be offset by performance fees earned from other shows [his team] were able to book (or through reasonable diligence could have booked) during the subject time period once they terminated the agreement.”
