Switzerland to Allow Events with Uncapped Attendees

Since February 28 of this year, Switzerland has capped all events, music and otherwise, with a 1,000 person limit.

In an attempt to find a balance between keeping people healthy as well as the economy going,  they have opened events back up with no maximum attendance starting October 1, 2020.

Health Minister Alain Berset said recently:

“The main argument to easing, after six-months of pandemic in Switzerland, is learning to live with the virus, while returning to some semblance of normalcy,”

All events will require government approval.

We will be watching this experiment closely to see how it affects the ability of other locations to allow for the music events we’ve come to miss.
