The highly anticipated virtual event’s lineup has been joined by one of pop’s biggest sensations of the past decade, the teenage dream, Katy Perry.
The pop star will headline along with top-tier electronic artists like Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Tïesto, and David Guetta, further blurring the lines of pop and EDM at one of the world’s largest festivals. Going digital for the first time ever, Tomorrowland Around The World vows to “bring together the planet’s biggest names in electronic dance music and the world’s best technology in 3D design, video production and special effects.” With the Katy Perry’s track record for theatrical performances, or, a flair for the drama, her set is sure not to disappoint.
“I’ve always wanted to be a part of the fun of Tomorrowland, and have been following the amazing innovation, technology, and invention that this festival has always been about for a long time,” Perry mused in a statement. “I’m so glad to be a part of this version, and I hope my set makes you smile.”
This won’t be the first time the music icon has set foot in the EDM world.
